Welcome to the Bonneville Elementary
School Counseling Website
Classroom Guidance Lessons
I will be teaching guidance lessons in classrooms for the 2019-2020 school year. Units covered include bully prevention, emotional management, and academic achievement. I will post information on lessons being taught in my blog and dates will be listed in my calendar. |
Small Group Counseling
Some groups will be arranged on an as-needed basis however we anticipate running a friendship group and a social-skills group this year. Small group counseling is done with 3-12 students and meets once a week during lunch time for a number of weeks. |
Individual School Counseling and Responsive Services
I am available to provide 1:1 school counseling and support services to students regarding academic, social or emotional challenges. I can provide a list of resources for therapeutic needs and other options within and outside of the school setting. I have created space in my schedule to accommodate students on an as-needed basis. Students can self-refer, be sent by a teacher, or be requested to meet with me by a parent or guardian. IMPORTANT: For your student to receive services, please download and fill out a permission form below. Turn completed forms into the front office.

About Me
My name is Julia Schleifman (pron. Shh-life-man) and this is my fourth year at Bonneville and seventh in the Salt Lake City School District. I am originally from Arlington, VA, and have lived in Oregon, North Carolina, and Washington state prior to settling in Utah. I love spending my free time outside skiing, mountain biking, and gardening. I have a toddler named Weston and two dogs, Luna and Machi, who I enjoy going on runs with in the mountains.
I am thrilled to be at Bonneville full-time and eager to assist you and your student. Some of my favorite things to do with students are friendship groups, social skills groups, creating art, and discussing what we love about school and being a human.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. I can be reached at Bonneville at (801) 584-2913 ext. 1560 or through e-mail at [email protected].
